Many, Many years ago I was writing a book about window cleaning… I did finish it and I had an idea to make the first every Window Cleaning Guide on CD-Rom. It was at the beginning of the CD-ROM age and I spent almost $12,000.00 over 4 years making it. This at the birth of before digital video. I finished it only to have a programing issue. We’ll more like a CD issue. The program was to big, technology did not match my vision. We’ll my 300 page video and photo manual just sat on the shelf. I had many people since then pick up my idea and make thousands doing less then what I did. Now you can get more FREE information on starting a window cleaning business that it’s not worth updating my book. Oh, well… This is a gif file I did for the program… REMEMBER 15 years ago this was an amazing GIF image! In it’s had day I was pioneering new ground using a gif file to do more then just blink… Now it looks like trash…lol

Window Cleaning Cartoon Video Gag

Life is a comedy filled with up’s and down but to be able to laugh at our selves defines our humanity.

My mission and goal for drawing the Window Cleaning Cartoons has always been very simple. To bring a little humor to our mundane world of window cleaning. Really after cleaning hundreds of thousands of window panes over and over again we all need something to break up the day.

On January 16, 2007 at the dawn of the YouTube age, I did this video goof below. It’s me showing off how I come up with my great ideas for the window cleaning cartoons and clip art. It’s my Video Gag, step by step video on how I draw the window cleaning cartoons. O.k., maybe it’s not real, but it is real funny. In the back ground you can hear George Formby singing “When I’m cleaning windows” on an ukulele. Towards the end one of my girls gets in on the fun questioning what I was doing. It’s a fun vid, and I hope it give you a little giggle or laugh or smile. To date it’s been viewed 1,776! That mean window cleaners around the world have wasted 76.36 hours watching this stupid video… Feel free to add to that number and see the vid today.

This is John of Window Guys Cleaning Services of Washington. He has been cleaning windows and floors since April 1995. His Flickr profiles tells me he is a “D.C. native with small business that does outstanding commercial and residential window/floor cleaning at reasonable and fair prices. Serving Washington, Maryland, and Virginia metropolitan area.“

Window Guys Cleaning Services motto is “We like being clean today“.

It seems working in D.C. has given him some monumental historical snap shots based on his Flickr account and this pic of Barack Obama’s inauguration on January 20, 2009.

I know him as his Facebook Name-du-Internet, windowguys56. Recently he won a caricature contest a ran. Each month I pick a few of my Facebook friends from my Mental Health Humor Project page and draw them. Sometimes the finished caricature look good and other times they look great… I think this time it looks great…LOL You can see my version of John of Window Guys Below.
